Location

Easley is located in Pickens County, in the Northwest corner of South Carolina, conveniently located between Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina. The area, commonly referred to as the Upstate, includes Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Pickens, and Cherokee counties and the cities of Anderson, Clemson, Greenville, Simpsonville, Greer, and Spartanburg.

Population

Pickens County has a population of 119,224 and Easley is the largest city in the county, with a population of 19,993 residents.

Climate

Easley experiences a moderate climate, allowing for residents to enjoy all four seasons. With an average temperature of 59° F and 222 days of sunshine on average. July is typically the warmest month and on average, January is the coolest. Easley has milder summers when compared to other areas of the south.

 

Education

Pickens County Schools is rated one of the top school systems in the state of South Carolina. The Easley School System consists of 16 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 5 high schools, an Adult Learning Center, a Parenting and Family Literacy program, and 4 private schools.

Health Care

Baptist Easley Hospital, an affiliate of Greenville Health System, is the primary healthcare provider for Pickens County. For the last two years Baptist Easley received the Zero Harm Award. They also were designated a Safe Surgery 2015 Hospital.

 

Transportation

The City of Easley does not have any public transportation.

Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP): Located just 37 minutes from downtown Easley, GSP has been rated one of the most desirable airports in the country in terms of convenience, easy access, smaller crowds, and nearby parking. More than 1.8 million passengers a year are served by six major airlines offering 49 non-stop average daily departures to 15 major cities and 18 airports across the US.

Easley is a part of the Pickens County Library System with the Hampton Memorial Library. Enjoy more than books, with events, computer access, and meeting/study rooms.

Experience outdoor and indoor recreational activities for all ages at the Easley Park & Recreation Department!
